The Lübeck Airport is the largest and most important commercial airport in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel addition also the second busiest airport in the metropolitan region of Hamburg. Due to its close proximity to the A1 and A20 motorways, the airport is also very important for the neighboring federal states of Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Location
The airport, which opened in 1917, is located approx. 8 kilometers south of Lübeck’s city center. Drivers can reach the airport via the federal highway 207 or via the Autobahn / Europastraße A20 / E22 at the exit “Lübeck-Süd”.

Bus line 6 runs daily between Lübeck ZOB and the airport, the journey time is approx. 30 minutes, you can find out the current departure times either directly on site or via the Internet.

There is a regular shuttle bus service between Hamburg’s ZOB and the airport with the VHH Shuttle Bus, the departure times are adjusted to the flight times of Ryanair, the journey time is around 75 minutes.
