The United Mexican States is located in the south of North America. The territory of the state is 2 million km2. The capital of Mexico City is located in the center of the country. Mexico is washed on the western side by the Gulf of California and Pacific waters, and on the eastern side by the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. The state consists of 18 islands.
Mexico along and across is cut up by mountain systems. In January, Mexico’s seaside resorts will delight tourists with a dry continental climate. The Pacific coast is warmer than the Atlantic. In February, at the coastal resorts – the height of the beach season: from + 27 ° C to + 31 ° C during the day and 21 ° C… + 25 ° C at night. In the central regions of Mexico, with the height of the ascent to the mountain, the air temperature decreases. In Mexico City, which is located at an altitude of 2.2 km above sea level, the daytime air temperature is within + 23 ° C, at night the mark drops to + 7 ° C. May
In May, in Mexico City, the amount of precipitation increases to 58 mm – the rainy season begins. Humidity is also rising. The thermometer readings during the day are at +27°С, and at night it is noticeably cooler: +10°С…+16°С. In Acapulco, at this time, the air temperature during the day does not fall below + 31 ° C, and only at night drops to + 23 ° C. The temperature of the coastal waters is +27°C, and it will remain so until September.
June
Daytime air temperature in Mexico City ranges from +23°С to +25°С, at night it drops to +13°С. The amount of precipitation is growing rapidly, falling up to 157 mm. 8-9 rainy days are registered. On the sea coasts, the average daily temperature is within +25°С…+33°С. 13 days are recorded with precipitation, falls up to 271 mm. Winds with speeds up to 5.4 m/s are also observed.
July
In July, the humidity in Mexico reaches a maximum of 100%. This is the golden time for surfers. In coastal areas, waves reach two meters. The average daily air temperature ranges from +24°С to +33°С. August
In August, the resorts of the Pacific coast are more popular, as hurricanes rage over the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. Daytime air temperature in beach resorts is at around +32°С, at night – +25°С. The water warms up to +30°С in some places. Rains are recorded, up to 312 mm of precipitation falls. September
In the north of Mexico in September it is dry and hot. Daytime air temperature exceeds +35°С. In the south, the thermometer is at around +31°C. And only in the center it is cool – up to + 23 ° С. In Mexico City, up to 144 mm of precipitation is recorded. In Acapulco – the peak of the rainy season with precipitation up to 341 mm. The winds blow at a speed of 4.7 m/s.
October
In October, the daytime air temperature in Mexico City fluctuates between +16°С…+21°С, at night it drops to +10°С. The rains subside, only 2 days with precipitation are recorded. In the Pacific resorts, the thermometer shows + 32 ° C during the day and + 24 ° C at night. The water temperature is +26°С.
November
At the beach resorts in November, twenty-nine days out of thirty are characterized by sunny weather. The air temperature is within +28°С…+30°С, and the water cools down to +25°С. On the Yucatan Peninsula, 3-5 rainy days are recorded, about 100 mm of precipitation falls. It is sunny and calm in Mexico City, but the thermometer does not rise above +22°C.
December
December in the capital of Mexico is cold – the average daily air temperature does not exceed +20°C. At beach resorts, hurricanes subside. During the daytime, the thermometer mark shows + 30 ° C, at night the column drops by 10 marks. At this time of the year, up to 64 mm of precipitation falls. The water in the sea is still warm – about + 25 ° С … + 26 ° С.
