Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein. The city has 5197 residents (2017). The town was first mentioned in 1150. It is located in the Rhine Valley.
The city is the country’s political and cultural center and an important trade center. In 2017, 69,000 foreign tourists visited Vaduz. The industrial activities include metalworking and manufacturing of machinery.
The National Museum is in Vaduz, where there is also an art gallery, as well as a stamp and a ski museum. The castle of Vaduz, the prince’s residence, protrudes over the city.
