Netherlands is known as the land of mills and clogs, as much of the country is below sea level. Three large European rivers (Rhine, Meuse and Scheldt) flow into the North Sea across the Dutch coast, making Holland a naturally merchant country, transporting goods to the interior of Europe. The Netherlands has a great historical relationship with Brazil. In the 17th century, it invaded and occupied part of the Northeast. The capital is Amsterdam and the seat of the government is in The Hague.
