Cook Islands Import Restrictions

In order to enter Cook Islands, certain goods are subject to specific controls and, regardless of their value and quantity, they require the consent of Cook Islands government, preferably, license must be obtained prior to passage through the customs, preventing the goods from being retained. Import restrictions are the same as New Zealand, except for the items below.

 

Personal gifts

The limit for personal gifts not requiring an import licence is $NZ40.

Intoxicating liquor

Cook Islands accepts intoxicating liquors only if addressed to: The Manager, Cook Islands Liquor Supplies.

Special documentation requirements

Documentation requirements are the same as New Zealand.
