Brunei Import Restrictions

In order to enter Brunei, certain goods are subject to specific controls and, regardless of their value and quantity, they require the consent of Brunei government, preferably, license must be obtained prior to passage through the customs, preventing the goods from being retained. Senders should determine import restrictions from Brunei authorities before posting:

  • Alcohol
  • Animal products
  • Vegetable products
  • Weapons.

Special documentation

All articles other than letters, unless sent to a private individual, require two copies of the original invoice. The address side of the article should be endorsed invoice enclosed.
British-made goods require a Certificate of Origin.
Medicines

Medicines or medical products must include a purchase invoice certified by a competent medical authority.

In addition to items prohibited by Dangerous and Prohibited Goods & Packaging Post Guide and ECI International Courier Regulations, Brunei Darussalam prohibits
