Asia is the largest of the continents, both in the area and in the population. It covers one-third of the solid parts of the Earth ‘s surface and is responsible for housing nearly three-fifths of the world’s population. Asia borders the western side with Africa and Europe, and on the eastern side with The Pacific Ocean, Oceania And, to a lesser Extent, North America, by the Bering Strait. The extreme northern point of the continent is located in the Arctic Ocean. But in the South, Asia comes to an end in your hottest region of the tropics, in the vicinity of the Equator. In Asia are found some of the highest mountains in the world; the rivers more extensive; the largest  deserts, plains and plateaus; the jungles and forests more dense. The maximum and minimum altitude is located in Asia. The Mount Everest, the maximum altitude of the planet, is located at 8,848 m above sea level; along the border line of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal with the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet. The coast of the dead sea, the lowest altitude plain of the world, are located the 396 m below the sea level, in the border region of the State of Israel with the Hashemita Kingdom of Jordan.
