India - The Movie Kingdom
India is in the Asian subcontinent, also known as the Republic of
India. It covers an area of about 2.98 million square kilometers and
has a population of 1.03 billion, with 46% of the residents of the
Hindustan family. Other ethnic groups includes the Telugu family,
Bangladeshi family, and dozens of other ethnic groups. Residents are
Hindu. English and Hindi are both official languages. Currency is
the Indian Rupee. The capital is New Delhi (New Delhi).
Composed of three rectangles, colored, from the top down, orange,
white, and green. The center of a white rectangle has a 24-spoke
blue wheel. Orange symbolizes courage, white symbolizes purity, and
green symbolizes faith. The wheel is the sacred wheel Falun, the
wheel of truth.
India is one of the world's four ancient civilizations. The Indus
civilization was created around 2000 BC. About 1000 BC, the social
division of labor began to form based on the caste system. In the
4th century BC, the rise of the Phoenicians began to unify the
Indian subcontinent. In the 11th century, the Muslim nation invaded
from the northwest and long ruled India. The Mughal Empire was
established in 1526. In 1600 the British invaded and established the
East India Company. In 1757, the British began to make India a
colony, and in 1849 the entire territory was occupied by the
British. In 1857 there were large outbreaks of anti-British
uprising, and the following year the British government ruled India
directly. In June 1947, the British divided India into two dominions
of India and Pakistan. In the same year, on August 15, India got
independence. On January 26, 1950, the Republic of India was
established for the Commonwealth.
Economic and Cultural Customs
India is the world's largest peanut producer. The country is also a
major jute, sugarcane, and tobacco producer. India has the largest
number of cattle in the world.
India is among South Asia's most developed industrial countries,
with a full range of light and heavy industry, including
electronics, computer software, nuclear, and space technology.
Industrial machinery is the largest industrial sector.
High-technology and India's super-computing speed are amazing. The
famous "Asian Silicon Valley," Bangalore, is known to the software
industry. Its products are exported to more than 70 countries.
Indian film, song, and dance follows a charming, esoteric
philosophy, occupying a unique place in world film. India has three
different film production centers, depending on language: Bombay
(Hindi), Calcutta (Bengali), and Madras (Tamil), which provides
films in 15 languages. Video output has ranked first in the world
for many years.
The sari is the most unique national dress of India: a sari is
over one meter wide, 78 meters long with texture of cotton silk,
studded with colorful patterns and colors and with a gorgeous lace.
Traditional saris start from the shoulder and are wound over the
body as a short tunic. Sari is always a contemporary, comfortable,
elegant, generous, and dignified, fully showing women's soft curves.
The Taj Mahal at Agra, in northern India near the Yamu River, is the
world's most elegant and most famous building in the romantic style.
In the 17th century, Mughal dynasty emperor Shah Jahan Taj Mahal was

Originating in India, Yoga means "fusion" and "harmony."It is a
